Three New Distinguished Faculty Members USC Gould has recruited three new tenured faculty members – Orin Kerr (computer crime law, criminal procedure, internet privacy law), Franita Tolson (voting rights, election law, constitutional law) and Michael Simkovic (taxation, corporate finance, credit markets).
BAR PASSAGE In 2016, USC Gould’s bar passage was 88%, the second highest in California. This is especially impressive, considering less than 44% of exam takers passed the California bar.

Professor Gillian Hadfield’s New Book ”Rules For A Flat World” Gillian Hadfield’s book tackles the need to build a more agile market-based and globally-oriented legal infrastructure. She’s also been appointed to serve on the ABA’s new Commission on the Future of Legal Education.

Established Endowed Clinical Professorship
Global experts from China, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, Brazil, India, Hong Kong, Canada and the United States, as well as in-house council from Uber Technologies, Google and Amazon participated in a two-day conference analyzing antitrust enforcement.
Ranked as one of the top schools for entertainment law by The Hollywood Reporter and for music law by Billboard Magazine. The program offers certificates in Media and Entertainment, as well as Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Professor Niels Frenzen, founding director of the USC Gould Immigration Clinic, was installed as the first Irmas Endowed Clinical Professor. The clinic has expanded to support the USC community by providing legal advice on immigration issues facing staff, faculty and students.
