SMILES ACROSS THE MILES IN-KIND GIFTS PROGRAM www. hhrd.org

Implementation Strategy: Relying on its USA local teams and network of affiliated non-governmental organizations, HHRD is an experienced implementer of In-Kind Gifts Program. Below is a brief outline of the implementation process:

Implementation Process

What are In-Kind Gifts? In-Kind Gifts are donated goods and services rather than monetary donations. Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) creates innovative partnerships that enable individuals, companies, NGO's and other institutions to donate supplies for the less fortunate. In-Kind support from individuals and organizations responding to natural disasters and humanitarian crisis bring HHRD in contact with deserving communities.

Program Objectives: To provide relief to disaster affected people. To recycle useful gifted items for needy people. To prioritize basic needs of the vulnerable. To provide volunteer opportunities to youth in USA to assist humanity.

Year round In-kind gift drives are being run throughout the US and containers are being sent regularly to different countries of Asia, Africa and Middle East.

Where We Work: In adherence to its slogan “Smiles Across the Miles, the program has been diligently and continuously contributing towards various relief efforts in underdeveloped countries across the world. More countries are being added as we are expanding our horizons. Locations being helped: Haiti, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Burma, Philippines, Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
