CNN.com Edward McCaffery published an op-ed on the effectiveness of the
tax plan proposed by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). "While we can and should admire Ocasio-Cortez's energy, passion, courage, intellect and ambition, her proposal to raise the top income tax rate to 70% would do nothing to those many American billionaires who pay little or no tax on their wealth," McCaffery wrote. "Find a way to tax the likes of [Jared Kushner and President Trump] and lots of us can start dancing."

Jody David Armour was interviewed about the pervasiveness and durability of black face. "In the sixth grade I can remember white kids coming to class in Jackson 5 outfits, complete with Afros and brown shoe polish on their faces," Armour explained. "At the time, I really didn't, as a kid, see the harm in it. I thought it was just a way that they had of showing respect and honor for the artist, and it wasn't until I got really a little older and it was explained to me that black face was a form of theatrical makeup used by mainly non-black people to caricature black people and to trade on racial stereotypes." Politico's "Morning Tax" Edward Kleinbard was quoted about the Dual Business Enterprise Income Tax and how it can act as a wealth tax without constitutional concerns, including shrinking the economy's capital stock or entrepreneurial innovation. "Pairing that kind of tax on capital with a robust estate tax," Kleinbard said, "would be the most straightforward method to attack accumulated wealth."
