Group 1:
Born in the year 2011-2013 Surah Al-Qadr # 97 to Surah Al-Nas #114 Mandatory surah: Al-ma’un #107
Group 2:
Born in the year of 2007-2010 Surah Al-Buruj # 85 to Surah Al- Nas #114 Surah Al Infitar #82, Surah Al- ‘Inshiqaq #84 Mandatory Surah: Surah Ash Shamas #91
Group 3:
Born in the year of 2003-2006 Juz 30 ,Al Mursalat #77, and Surah Yaseen #36 Mandatory Surah: Al Tariq #86
Group 4:
Born in the year of 1996-2002 Entire Juz 30, Surah Ar-Rahman #55, Surah Mulk #67, Al Muzzammil #73 and Surah Al Insan / Ad – Dahr #76 Mandatory Surah: Surah Al-Rahman #67
Competition will start at 9:30AM and end at 6:30PM Competition for Boys and Girls will be held separately Prizes will be given to the top three participants in each age group All participants will receive lunch and a medal Each participant will recite assigned Surah’s in his or her age group. Top five from each age group (from each gender) will be chosen for the final stage. Top five of each age group will compete on stage and three finalists (from each gender age group) will be selected as the winners.
COMPETITION RULES: 1. Participant must be between the ages of 6-23 2. Participant must memorize assigned surahs based on age group 3. Pace of recitation must be neither fast nor slow. It should be at a medium (moderate pace) 4. Participant will be tested on memorization and recitation according to the rules of Tajweed. 5. Dress Code: proper modest dress (no short pants) 6. Judges’ decisions are final in all cases and will not be change
