INTRODUCTION BSC Architectural Studies 05 is a Design studio unit with a total of appoximately 50 students and 4 lecturers. This proposal is done as an initiative to manage our everysemester routine site visit. The site visit plays an immense role in the syllabus and project as it allows the building to be situated and with a site the design can respond to it respectively. The current semester's project is about a community based building* and site chosen is based on the characteristic where it should be located on the fringe of an urban developing context. Historical essence is an added bonus to site as it will allow students to proactively respond and design to resonate with its existing surroundings.

PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE The site visit puprose is based on a few of Limkokwing's philosophies. These purposes are emphasized that this site visit not merely a fun outing but an educational visit that brings benefit for both the university and its learners. "To encourage creative and innovative skills in research and publications that positively impact the social, environmental and economic development"
Provide access to comprehensive academic programmes which meet the national and regional needs plus necessary tangible resources and materials for teaching and learning for a holistic learning experience
as Architecture students and wto travel around and experience new surroundings and culture is a must. With travel, one can see the world with a new perspective, understand local heritage and how things work in a different setting. Nothing beats a live and interactive learning experience
One of the necessary resources for us in Architecture school are the site visits itself. Site visits are crucial in and Architecture-based syllabus. It plays an immense role in a project's design as a site determines how a building should function, its form and how it sits amongst other buildings. hence providing us the chance to go for this site visit will boost this holistic experience.

JUSTIFICATION According to plan, the site visit will take place in Bandar Hilir, Melaka. An area in the heart of the state filled with abundant historical monuments and tourist spots. The site visit will be ongoing for a period of five consecutive days
Hence the questions why a longer duration? and why Melaka, its very far? is justified.
Fits the propose of this project, having historical elements is a bonus to the site. The design will be more challenging and fun to respond due to its historical context.
Longer duration is to ensure there is no lack of information. Previous sems we had to go back and forth to the site because of the lack of detail. With a longer duration we're able to explore more of the site and really understand what it is about. More days = more time = more work doneÂ
We have been in Selangor for 2 years already since foundation (Putrajaya Cyberjaya - Bagan Lalang Pasir Penambang.
Its our final year and we all have established a bond and we'd like to strengthen the bond and make more memories while we can. Best way to do it is with site visits.
