summer of the canoe The pond at Kings Homestead is a spring fed pond that produces approximately 1/2 million gallons of water a day, and maintains a 53•F temperature all year long. As a family we’ve made many memories by the spring pond @thehomesteadbarn. We spent hours canoeing, and on the scorching summer days it often ended with us in the cold pond. It is special to watch the next generation on the water, learning how to maneuver the canoe.
