RESPONSIVE SURFACE This pavilion for the Isle of Dogs in London generates a rythmic pattern of modulated wind velocities. Folding patterns applied to steel sheets achieve a self supporting structure. Digital wind flow analysis and structural load testing inform details in geometry, material selection, and fabrication process. Architectural Association, 2014

URBAN ALGORITHM Generative algorithms scripted in Python and Grasshopper define the organization of a new proposed urban fabric for Isle of Dogs, London. Built density emerges among 8 streets. Structures are then staggered along the xy plane to increase porosity. Public parks are dispersed in walking radius of each street. Where these intersect, bus and bike networks are generated. Architectural Association, 2014
FINGERS CROSSED Commissioned for the 2014 London Design Festival, Fingers Crossed is a formactive pavilion that relies solely on friction as a joining solution, and explores the material behavior of 9mm birch plywood. Architectural Association, 2014

MIXED USE HOUSING COMPLEX AND BLACK BOX THEATRE At the intersection of South Haven St. and Eastern Ave, connecting Highlandtown and Greektown. Right page: This proposal for a black box theatre would connect two neighborhoods with a black box theatre surrounded by naturally lit, fully glazed lobby and dining spaces. The reflecting pool and walking path engage the landscape. To enter the theatre, visitors move through a series of compressed and expanded spaces from the lobby. Left page: Mixed use housing complex, community center, and commercial shopping zone proposed to be located across the street from Black Box Theatre in Baltimore, MD. University of Maryland, 2012
