BASIC DESIGN-I Understanding Design principles
Understanding space transformation and graphics by imposing the pattern as graphics in space. (Sketch-Cept University SID plaza)
BASIC DESIGN-II
Understanding space and spatial transformation
THE INFECTED CUBE..... When a man rides a long time through monotonous life routine, he feels the desire for newer space for him to wonder about the realities of life.
Concept of infection and pattern
Finally an ecologist, environmentalist, architect, scientist and constructor experience a workspace infected by foreign organims. Walking through the spaces as pixelated streets or a prison or a post war period city with double volumes at some footsteps while stretched spaces at few. The space formation reflect the eating pattern of the organisms which follows the “stacking and staggering construction technique stretching us to al means of spaces and connecting to all realms...
Translation from 2D infection pattern to 3D infected cube space
Spaces express a massy configuration which follows construction process of STACKING. The structure is split into two divisions which include 3 experts on one and the other two on the base. The space also includes areas for arrival-administration and services‌ The structure integrates grid form which itself becomes sculptural as well as elemental.
STUDIO-II
Commercial store design for Block printed fabric
ANUREKH LIFESTYL EMPORIUM... Retail store for block printed products which speaks the local design vocabularies and oral cultures giving shape to the spaces as a part of Indian Crafts. The spaces conceptualizes the porosity created as a result of wooden block carving and the negative-positive material impact of printing on fabric. The experience of the space, renders ANUREKH with the intricacy of the handcrafted approach in retail store design project.
PROCESS : Spatial experience by volumes by variating levels and ceiling.
The display area holds the main position of the overall space and the rest connected to it, hence it becomes the core area of the project. The idea of block as “POROS is perceived through the surfaces, edges, and corners of the block.
The lighting is premediated in a simplistic and flexible manner to accentuate the elements of the design process and feel the material-texture of the elements. The light quality enhance the volume of the space along with the rendering of the floor -ceiling and the beam grid structure uniformly.
The colour schemes follows the traditional colours of block printing- Red, Green, Indigo, Brown, Black and orange
The enterance of the store leads to a marble tiled steps leading to the central extruded space which offers with exquisitive designs of upholstery-sheers-bedsheets, which directs to the upper floor via staircase and to the left zone of Craftperson’s working area and exhibition to move around and experience the working process of the craft.
The wooden cantilevered staircase leads to the designer’s office, design lab and discussion space through a narrow floating bridge wherein designer lamps will be hanged onto the walls and ceiling.
STUDIO-III
Residential space for Raja Ravi Varma
Residence name: ANUGRAHA The paintings by Raja Ravi Varma showed extreme delicacy in terms of light and shadow, ornamentation, forms, colour and texture. So emphasizing and incorporating such details and intricacy into spaces, which highlights the character and personality of the artist and bringing the quality of paintings into real spaces.. was the core concept of “The Residence for an Artist.
GROUND FLOOR PLAN
The couryard sopace comes alive when light nits the ornamented column surfaces and the plantations in the center. Transparency is achieved not by glass but by the continuity aand openness of the spaces iin the interior and exterior of the bungalow..
The living area is followed by the vaulted passage linked with the courtyard wherein on the left, the staircase directs to the first floor. next to staircase is the Studio which is divided by a customized element to display and store paints of the artist. The studio space is extends towards to outside garden waterbody area, refreshing the space with cool breeze and luxurious sitting area in the center.
The site provided an opportunity to play with modern ways of treating the original history of builtforms in the present days. From design of a courtyard house to incorporating an extrovert style of bringing in the exhilarating effects of the nature and surrounding beauty in the interiors. Thus, the design proved tobe a contemporary luxurious lifestyl in a historical preset...

Material studio- Introduction to Corian
THE POD... THE POD was an experimental structure built in GCP business center atrium having a fish like configuration-dense at one end and tapering at the other end , catered to the visually impaired. The plan organization was to provide banking facility for the blinds. The structure was lit on one end and had a cafetiere with tables and chairs on the other. The structure created internal pockets making the structure porous and an inside outside relation created within. The structure also introduced to corian as an introductory material. The installation provided construction, surface treatment, furniture and teamwork learnings...
The internal spaces were lit and covered by corian pannels which was textured surface by CNC. The lights reflected onto the floor space which highlighted the overall character of the white structure, the warm white lights and the grey flooring from one end to the other.

Project by: ADANI Project Management Project Intention: Painting for newly built offices Role: Canvas Painings- Oil/ Acrylic Paintings on paper Learnings: Handling mediums for different types of surfaces Colour sensibilty towards a particular style of design THE PAINTINGS SPEAK.... As i wave the stroke on the blank mind, An inner voice smiles at the surface to spread them all towards the extremes... When i add a gradient to it, it moves my fingers towards all directions, leaving ligth at one stage, making it to grow darker as it moves away... When i change a colour, it get angry and moves away from the depth of the previous shades, and speaks to me to bring in my own shades and elaborate it. Slowly as i move into the extreme intricacy, it tells me to add the qualities of light, shadows, texture with the utmost delicacy of a line which can connect to every eyes and capture the heart. And...as a whole, i complete a new world of freedom, which is when in the hands of others to read WHAT I AM..... -Anju
