Local Committee Coordinator AIESEC in Thapar University 16 January 2013 Dear Ankit, Subject : Letter of intent to apply for the post of LCC This letter is a response to your mail regarding the opening for the position of LCC for AIESEC in Thapar University. A year ago, I remember asking Akshat about the recruitment procedure. I had a fair idea about what AIESEC is, but knew nothing what kind of experiences I am opening the door to. So I got the news that I got in and I will be working under Akshat, my Team Leader in Business Development Department. I couldn’t have asked for more in a Leader. I was also invited to my first ever GBM which was attended by just 3 more people other than myself. Now when I attend a GBM with an attendance of more than 30, I feel proud that I have actually worked to help my entity grow. My journey through AIESEC has taught me a lot of things. Believe it or not, it has actually taught me how to organise a rock concert. I have spent nights trying to make business proposals for the Smokilling campaign. 1500 people attending the finale of a campaign I worked for was a different feeling altogether. Seeing content on my LCC’s face was another token of the success. Impacting people had a really different meaning after that. Our form selling and brand value increased significantly after the event. July was greeted with a series of information seminars and a LEAD session. Now, my department’s priority went on to increase our body. After selling more than 200 forms, we did the recruitments. I remember reading the forms, shortlisting them and calling people for the interviews. We recruited amazing people and our family grew from 14 to 38 people. I am now working hard for the Youth to Business forum which will be in February 2013. I don’t have anything to say about y2b except it is going to be phenomenal. I conclude by stealing words to express my feelings from a personal hero of mine, Mr Charlie Sheen,” I still don't have all the answers. I'm more interested in what I can do next than what I did last.” I do thank you for the consideration and present my intentions to apply for the post of Local Committee Coordinator for AIESEC in Thapar University. Thank you. Sincere Regards, Anant Katyayan Manager, Business Development AIESEC in Thapar University akatyayan01@gmail.com
