Vaibhav Jain Letter of Intent

I, Vaibhav Jain, am a second year undergraduate student of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Thapar University, Patiala, India. I was recruited in AIESEC in Thapar University nearly one and a half year ago during the August 2011 recruitment drive, though not such a proud feeling for a person who treated AIESEC similar to any other society in the university but somehow I felt joyous that I have successfully cleared the personal interview round. For the next 6 months I was completely unaware about what I am going to do in this organization but I always had a tag with me that besides studies I am part of an international organization. After several months of recruitment, got some work from Team Leaders like putting up Posters in campus for which I was least interested but still did, with hopes that I will soon know my role and work in AIESEC. After being part of highly successful events like Smokilling Campaign and Rock for a cause show in the university, I felt motivated and continued to stick to the organization. Finally during the summer vacations of 2012 I was given a training session for ICX and in a month I was able to have my first successful exchange participant for AIESEC School of Languages in Thapar University. I still remember that awesome feeling and all this motivated me, boosted my confidence. I understood how profoundly different is the working and culture of AIESEC as compared to other societies on campus. Thereafter everyday I had something new to learn and understand everything practically and professionally. I tried to grab maximum number of opportunities in the past seven months, got a chance to work for finance and university relation, CIM, Managed School of languages and with a team of few members tried to match maximum numbers of projects. Currently I am holding the post of Manager, School of languages and working as team member in Finance and ICX. These opportunities helped me realize my potential. This organization has given me so many new experiences, helped me believe in optimism and ways to overcome challenges. It is difficult to pen down all the experiences that I had in AIESEC till now with superb mentors and team leaders. Today I stand completely transformed from what I was one and a half year ago, now a confident and much more efficient AIESECer. I want to take the privilege to lead AIESEC in Thapar University and drive it to the peak it deserves. I request you to kindly consider my Candidature for Local Committee coordinator 2013 of AIESEC in Thapar University. Vaibhav Jain
