EXPLODED SPACIAL DIAGRAM
Site was classified as zones based on the activity pattern and ease of access.
Building blocks were oriented to channelize wind into the central area creating useful open spaces on ground.
STAGE 3 Interlocking blocks to improve connectivity. Dividing the central open area.
STAGE 4 Integrating blocks with a common element creating a unified form representing concepts of sustainability.
Taking
into consideration the climatic zone of the site, the idea was to reduce the cooling loads inside building especially during the hot summers. Green roof reduces the solar heat gain and maintains comfort level in the interiors. Green roof has been provided for the primary, secondary and the administration blocks which is a continuous stretch of plane inclined to one direction. The plan of the Green roof actually represents an arrow which symbolises ‘Disha’ (direction).

Hospital design is a result of InterDesiplinary relationship between the building function, site planning, form, user friendly semi-open public spaces and the services. The design is done taking into consideration the climatic aspects as well as the wind movement. The building is facing the windward direction thus creating the opprtunities for the inpatient, visitors, staff, doctors to feel refreshed which will reduce the uneasy ambience
