This apartment is designed for a young financier, who wanted to live in a hotel- like space. The client has very traditional colour preferences. He wanted home to be simple but luxurious. He likes to invite friends; that is why his living room is merged with dining. The kitchen is hidden from the eyes of the visitors, in this way he can keep the apartment cleaner. I used cage- like chandeliers to add a more dramatic lighting and contemporary look. There is almost no greenery in the apartment because the owner confessed that he always forget to water them. This apartment is not designed for living with kids, or for any “home” work as the proprietor lives alone, and spent hours in the office, so at home, he prefers to rest from work and enjoy a good movie in a friend’s company.
