body/head part, and prepare the wool in to lengths for younger children, but your kids will love making this and playing with it, because you made it together. Remember a glue gun is very hot and children should not use it unsupervised as the hot melted glue can cause nasty burns.

2. GLUE THE DISC GUIDES TO A THIN PIECE OF CARD AND CUT OUT THE TWO DISCS 3. PREPARE THE WOOL BY DOUBLING IT UP SO THAT YOU HAVE PIECES ABOUT 2m LONG IN BUNDLES OF ABOUT 6 TO 10 STRANDS, DEPENDING ON HOW THICK THE WOOL IS. YOU MAY NEED 4 OR 5 SUCH BUNDLES 4. PASS THE WOOL THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DISC REPEATEDLY SO THAT YOU WIND IT ROUND THE DISC. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR FIRST BUNDLE COVERS THE ENTIRE DISC. 5. WHEN ONE BUNDLE IS FINISHED MAKE THE NEXT BUNDLE UP FROM A DIFFERENT COLOUR AND PASS THAT THROUGH THE DISC HOLE UNTIL THE FIRST COLOUR IS COVERED UP, THEN CHANGE COLOUR BACK AGAIN TO THE ORIGINAL. REPEAT UNTIL YOU CAN T PASS ANY MORE WOOL THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE. 7. USING STRONG SCISSORS, PUSH ONE BLADE OF THE SCISSORS INTO THE WOOL AND BETWEEN THE TWO CARD DISCS AND CUT THE WOOL ROUND THE RIM 8. PASS SEVERAL SHORT STRANDS OF THE WOOL BETWEEN THE DISCS AND TIE TIGHTLY ROUND THE BUNDLE AND CUT OFF BELOW THE ENDS OF THE POMPOM 9. MAKE THE BODY AND HEAD FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TURTLE TEMPLATE SHEET. THEN PUSH ONLY ONE OF THE DISCS OFF THE BUNDLE AND SLIDE THE BODY IN TO THE MIDDLE OF THE POMPOM OVER THE REMAINING DISC. WHEN THE BODY IS IN PLACE, REMOVE THE OTHER DISC. TRIM THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE POMPOM TO MAKE IT FLATTER. 8. IF YOU WANT TO HANG YOUR TURTLE UP, GLUE GUN A LOOP OF COTTON THREAD AT THE TOP OF THE POMPOM DEEP INSIDE THE WOOL, SO THAT IT HANGS HORIZONTALLY AND DANGLE WHEREVER YOU WANT
