For the “ Live Laugh Love Glass” store, we envision a unique arrangement of spaces that will entice visitors to enter the world of glass art. Glass is a free form organic element that can be created in a myriad of intriguing and beautiful shapes. With our space, we designed areas that take visitors on a journey whether they are there to be educated on the art of glass making, view and purchase beautiful works in the gallery or dine and socialize while being surrounded by beautiful glass installations.

SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM
Our goal was to create a free flowing
movement of space while maintaining that each zone (gallery, restaurant, observation deck) feel like it’s own separate space. • entry is moved to the center bay creating nooks on either side of the door to maximize display space • a central reception area is created to aid in reception, sales/ cashiering, hosting, etc. • a loft level is introduced to create an elevated dining room that overlooks the entry, and the observation deck through to the hot shop • the level below the dining loft will be devoted to the kitchen and additional storage • an employee entry is added at the rear of the building for additional egress leaving the side entry devoted to future outdoor seating area

RECEPTION
Upon entering, visitors will first be
introduced to the store when they are greeted by a central reception area. This space will welcome customers with it’s bright, engaging glass displays juxtaposed by a rustic background of wood, concrete and glass. Visitors can choose to ascend to the dining area where they are swept up into a lofty expanse that looks out over the gallery and observation room. Or perhaps visitors will want to browse the current glass collections brilliantly displayed in the front half of the store. • the central entryway will create two separate gallery spaces for lighting other product installations, maximizing visibility • the reception desk will serve as an information hub for reception, sales/ cashiering, hosting, etc. • the dining loft will be visible from the entry creating a lively, open space accessed by a dramatic curving staircase by Wise Design in collaboration with Stephanie Woods ©All design ideas and artwork are the property of Wise Design.
Through the use of architecture, color and graphics, the Observation Deck will be a colorful, engaging, theater-like space for
children and adults. Warm colors and a large curving wall invite viewers in, while a series of carpeted steps provide an interactive spatial experience for sitting and viewing. The large curved wall depicts a visually stimulating graphic that illustrates the history and art of glass blowing. A custom glass installation would be suspended from the ceiling creating dynamic views from the observation deck and dining loft.

Overlooking both the entry and observation deck, the dining loft will be the coveted hot spot of LLLG. To maximize space,
buillt in banquettes and bars will be introduced around the perimeter of the loft, while the middle will be filled with free standing tables. The wood will be contrasted by bright pops of color brought in through chairs and other elements. The ceiling will be a glittering display of custom hand crafted glass works, immersing customers in a world of glass art.
