I`ve mentioned this in my previous Productivity Quest post, but it really, really helps. Setting aside a whole day to catch up on email, bills, paperwork, etc. means the rest of the week you can feel totally fine putting it off. What I hadnt mentioned before, is how ruthless I am about making.
Kerning
I used kernking to help me with the kerning of my font. I feel like I might have kerned my letters a little tight, but I feel that this is the best way for my typeface.
Problems
Some of the letters gave me a little headake, because they wouldn’t quit fit with the system I made for the other letters. But after som testing and thinking I came to a solution that I feel works best for the modyfied font.
When I was placing my letters in to Type Tool I didn’t think about that all fonts have a different x-height and I forgot to adjust the guides. So I had to place all the letters and symbols in to Type Tool all over again with the right x-height.
When I generated my font for the first time, I became aware that some of the letters didn’t match the original font. So what had happened, was that I had managed to modify the wrong font in lower cases, so I had to do the modification all over again with the right font.
