Ann Somerset Miles

I am a journalist and writer passionate about many things: landscape and the environment; folklore, history and places; classical music, books and poetry. I create mixed-media journals in fabric and paper, and run workshops - when asked! (My creations are often commissioned pieces for various exhibitions.) I am equally addicted to sourcing good food and growing vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers - weaving together all these topics into a cohesive whole. I am currently working on establishing "Ann's Art Retreats" to bring the techniques I use to a wider audience, utilising my 16th-century home and acre of garden / orchard as a base to inspire others. (I also create online newsletters when commissioned to do so for various organisations).
