Sharing God's Word and Practical Daily Encouragements By Martha Gilbert

We know that that to share our faith is a Biblical requirement seen here in Matthew 28:16-20 Amplified Bible (AMP) Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed and made appointment with them. And when they saw Him, they fell down and worshiped Him; but some doubted. Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be). First in order for us to effectively share we need to know one how faith comes, Romans 10:17 Amplified Bible (AMP) So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself). Knowing that faith comes from hearing we know that in order for us to share faith the person we are trying to share with must hear God's Word not our own. This means that for practical purposes in order for us to share we must continually hear God's Word whether by preaching, teaching or reading out loud ourselves. We have to hear to keep faith so that we can effectively share. Second we must believe The Word of God our Bible is true John 6:29 Amplified Bible (AMP) Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger]. If we do not believe then how can we possibly even having heard to have faith trust and share that trust. All of us from time to time have faced things in our life that have caused us to doubt and be like the father of the boy in this story seen in Mark 9:20-27Amplified Bible (AMP)So they brought [the boy] to Him, and when the spirit saw Him, at once it completely convulsed the boy, and he fell to the ground and kept rolling about, foaming [at the mouth]. And [Jesus] asked his father, How long has he had this? And he answered, From the time he was a little boy. And it has often thrown him both into fire and into water, intending to kill him. But if You can do anything, do have pity on us and help us. And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes! At once the father of the boy gave [an eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith! But when Jesus noticed that a crowd [of people] came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, You dumb and deaf spirit, I charge you to come out of him and never go into him again. And after giving a [hoarse, clamoring, fear-stricken] shriek of anguish and convulsing him terribly, it came out; and the boy lay [pale and motionless] like a corpse, so that many of them said, He is dead. But Jesus took [a strong grip of] his hand and began lifting him up, and he stood. We see here that even though the father was having some trouble believing Jesus would or even could help his child Jesus cast out that spirit and healed the boy. Sometimes we all need to ask God to help our unbelief and lean entirely on God for all things. Third we teach others to speak the Word using faith to believe what they speak out loud see Mark 11:23Amplified Bible (AMP)Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown

into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.(posted at end of this article are scriptures on the tongue and speaking God's Word) Fourth we need to personally act on God's Word both in thought and deed, as well as teach others practical ways to do what Jesus has commanded us to do in love ever vigilant least we slip and cause another to stumble. James 2:26Amplified Bible (AMP) For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead. See also 1Corinthians 8:9-12 Only be careful that this power of choice (this permission and liberty to do as you please) which is yours, does not [somehow] become a hindrance (cause of stumbling) to the weak or over scrupulous [giving them an impulse to sin].For suppose someone sees you, a man having knowledge [of God, with an intelligent view of this subject and] reclining at table in an idol's temple, might he not be encouraged and emboldened [to violate his own conscientious scruples] if he is weak and uncertain, and eat what [to him] is for the purpose of idol worship? And so by your enlightenment (your knowledge of spiritual things), this weak man is ruined (is lost and perishes)--the brother for whom Christ (the Messiah) died! And when you sin against your brethren in this way, wounding and damaging their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. Although here Paul is teaching about food that has been worshiped or offered to gods/goddess other than The One Living God, it is important to note that any act or thing we do or do not do should not be cause for another to stumble or lose there way. In summary to share Jesus and His love and Salvation The Gospel of Christ, we must first hear the Word to have faith, then believe what we have heard, then speak out what we believe and then act on and according to that which we have heard, believe and speak upon. By doing these things we draw closer to God, and our life through Christ will exhibit the gifts of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. God bless each and everyone NO EXCEPTIONS! Love, hugs and prayers; Sister Pastor Martha Gilbert pastors@holyministry.org www.holyministry.org www.facebook.com/pastors.gilbert Scripture references for speaking out loud: Deuteronomy 30:19, Proverbs 18:21, Romans 4:17, James 3:10 really the whole 3rd chapter of James is about speaking and controlling the tongue. There are many more wonderful scriptures about what we say or choose not to say I will let you research the rest for yourselves.
