The conference will be hosted by the British Government. The enormous challenges it and the people of the world face have been on show this year in the ongoing droughts and famines; floods and devastation; the disappearance of the ice sheets and the thawing of the Siberian permafrost and the release of more green house gasses. Boris Johnson, the ‘it’s easy being green’ Prime Minister, who hasn’t found it very easy himself, will likely be inundated with similar protests to those which recently brought Britain to a halt as major roads were blocked.
