Off to the Roman Festival
In August, around 19,000 people made the pilgrimage to Switzerland’s great Roman Festival at Augusta Raurica, which was celebrating its 25th anniversary. More than 600 contributors and 80 performances, spread over an area of 56,000 m2, made for a marvellous ambience and a magnificent spectacle.
Sharing the great atmosphere were enthusiastic members of the Antikenmuseum staff, who manned several market stalls, as they do every year. Offering articles for sale, running workshops on making plaster casts and introducing the Antikenmuseum, its special exhibitions and other activities to a broad and interested public, they provided valuable publicity in a unique ambience.
