The Ancient World for Children

Unsere Abteilung Bildung & Vermittlung bietet ein umfangreiches Bildungsangebot für Schulen und Privatpersonen an und konzipiert für jede Sonderausstellung ein spezielles Kinderprogramm sowie einen spannenden und lehrreichen Workshop zum Thema.

In den Sommer- und Herbstferien bereiteten die Juniorateliers von Anna Blum Ahmels und Tilo Ahmels, die in unseren Häusern stattfanden und von uns mitbetreut wurden, den Kindern besonders viel Freude. Im Juli durften die Kinder im Antikenmuseum für fünf Tage mit viel Spiel und Spass ins alte Ägypten reisen, während das Programm im Oktober «KIMAMO – Kinder machen Mode» war. Unser junges Modeteam entwarf kreative eigene Kostüme nach antiken Vorbildern und präsentierte diese im Rahmen einer Theateraufführung in unserer Skulpturhalle.

Our Education and Outreach Department offers a comprehensive educational programme for schools and private individuals, including producing a special children’s programme for every special exhibition, along with an exciting and educational workshop on the exhibition topic.

During the summer and autumn holidays, Anna Blum Ahmels' and Tilo Ahmels' Junior Studios, held at the museum and co-hosted by us, were a particular source of enjoyment for children. For five days in July, lots of fun and games were to be had travelling to ancient Egypt. The October programme was called “Children Make Fashion”. Our young fashion team designed their own creative costumes based on models from Antiquity and presented them at a theater performance in the Skulpturhalle.
