Balconies mark a transition from the outside to the inside, from above to below. They constitute a space that enables the individual to willingly step outside of the private sphere and enter the public, visible sphere. Due to its exposed location, the balcony is also a viewpoint to look down from, up to, or to let one’s eye wander. While the search for a wITh about the first topic, it was curious the situa× tion that these spaces were not used, they were just there - BEAUTIFUL- . They were not real transitions but limits, the same as several empty vertical limits distributed in the city (close to interesting open areas WHAT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THESE PLACES). These limits, walls, were denied by the city in the same way that a covered window or a blocked balcony.
