SCHWEPPES ON TV

Schweppes has kicked off the festive spirit with a new TV campaign: Schweppes, We’ve Got The Tonic, You’ve Got The Spirit. This is the first time Schweppes has been on screens since 2017 and will launch this Christmas and continue next year.

FESTIVE FLIPZ

Flipz is taking on a new festive form with the addition of 160g sharing packs containing Christmas-themed shaped pretzels. Available in Milk Chocolate and White Fudge variants, the launch will help drive incremental sales. RSP: £2

TARTAN TWIST

Just in time for St Andrews Day on 25 November, Lactalis has rolled out limited edition St Andrew’s Day packaging for a number of its products: Galloway Mature, Galloway Medium, Orkney Mature White and Orkney Mature Red. RSPs: £2.50 – £3.75

CASH IN ON CAKE

Premier Foods has brought back its Christmas cakes range across the Mr Kipling and Cadbury brands. The ranges include classics like Mr Kipling Mince Pies and Frosty Fancies as well as Cadbury Mini Yule Logs and Reindeer Cakes. RSPs: £1 – £2

FACTORY HITS UK

US dessert chain The Cheesecake Factory has arrived in the UK with an initial range of premium products available to local retailers via Glasgow-based Blaze XK. Its cheesecake slices are ideally suited for convenience stores and food-to-go counters.

ON DUTY

Batchelors is partnering with one of the most successful videogame franchises of all time to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. On-pack promos offers shoppers a chance to win one of thousands of bonus in-game items.

WOLF ON TV

Australian wine brand Wolf Blass will bring back its ‘Here’s to the Chase’ TV commercial this winter. Hitting screens for the first time today, the ad will run until 27 December. Wolf Blass is also running a sampling campaign with 20,000 samples distributed.

SCOTTISH SELTZER

The Start Up Drinks Lab has launched what it says is the first ever Scottish hard seltzer. Lilo is a ‘lighter and lower’ drink with just over 40 calories per 250ml can (ABV 3.5%). Two flavours are available: White Grape & Elderflower and Cranberry & Rosehip.

WHITLEY CAMPAIGN

Whitley Neill is unveiling a new £1.4m print, digital and social media campaign to drive brand awareness in the run up the Christmas, focusing on its Original Dry and Rhubarb & Ginger gins. POS and digital assets are available to retailers to capitalise on the spend.

ORGANIC IRISH

Irish distiller Waterford Distillery is launching Organic: Gaia 1.1, Ireland’s first certified organic single malt whisky. The 50% ABV product was distilled in 2016 from 100% organic Irish barley grown on six small, dedicated farms. RSP: £77

REDUCED PMPS

Coca-Cola European Partners has reduced the RSPs for some of its 500ml pricemarked packs for a limited time to help retailers drive sales of on-the-go formats and tap into the consumer demand for value. The price points have been dropped by 15p to £1.

CHEESY CHRISTMAS

Boursin is launching a new ‘Boursin Inspires, You Create’ brand equity campaign to feed special sharing occasions and drive seasonal sales. The campaign kicks off this month with print advertising and paid social, followed by TV advertising from 5 December.
