Gopuff set to buy European delivery platform Dija

The deal will expand Gopuff’s foothold in the UK.

On-demand grocer Gopuff has signed an agreement to acquire leading Euro“Combining Dija’s team of industry veterans, extensive infrastructure, and local expertise will complement pean delivery platform Dija.

Gopuff, which has micro-fulfilment centres in every market it serves, delivers thousands of products quickly for a flat $1.95 (£1.40) delivery charge. It is open 24/7 in many markets and late night everywhere else.

The deal, along with Gopuff’s recent acquisition of UK-based Fancy, is expected to provide “further densification” in the UK.

Gopuff’s proprietary technology and unique customer experience and advance our ability to scale rapidly as we create a leading platform in Europe.”

Gopuff plans to operate in three Europeancountries with about 40 micro-fulfilmentcentres and 200 employees in the region.

Dija, which was founded in 2020, operates dozens of micro-fulfilment centres across London, Paris, Madrid, Valencia, and more.

Together, combined with our team’s extensive experience of building and scaling food and delivery companies across Europe, we are perfectly positioned to lead the everyday essentials space in Europe and beyond.”
