Objectives Architecture throughout history has been used to interpret culture, it has been the symbol of power & grandeur, the epitome of love & beauty , a way of expression of thoughts, philosophies etc…..For me it has been a tool to understand the world from many perspectives, & as a student of architecture my objective will always be to understand its different shades and to find solace in one of its many shades which will then become my interpretation of this wonder known as “ARCHITECTURE”

Ludiya an impoverished village in the heart of Bhuj was rocked to rubbles by the Earthquake which took place in 2002. The government provided few Hindu families whose houses were completely in ruins a piece of land in which they built their residences a fresh ,that settlement came to be known as Gandhi nu gram .The flaws of the earlier planning were studied & an attempt towards a sensitive design was approached both climatically & economically, even the material chosen for the dwellings were made of mud which would keep the temperature inside cooler than outside & also reduce the cost of construction the layout was planned in a way which would help generate interaction and help make the space culturally active throughout the day.

Interior Spaces
Theme & Concept The concept of the Primary health care(P.H.C) center design was to break away from the rigid doubly loaded planning, and bring in an orderly flow of transition into spaces. The orientation of the building was planned in such a way that there would be a continual flow of air through the structure thus giving a sense of comfort to the patients & staff .

De-constructivism style is experimented with, concept is based on flight as spaces in the structure would give a feeling of elevated environment to the user. There are no proper rigid transitions of spaces, however subtle demarcations are provided in the forms blinds & level differences. The structure receives ample amount of light & ventilation. The roof is designed to add a dramatic effect to the structure.
