G’day, and a very warm welcome to the annual ANZA Black Tie Charity Ball, BonANZA! We’ve held more than a few black tie balls in our extraordinary 70-year history and all for the same reasons – to get together, to dress up, and most importantly to raise money for worthwhile charities here in Singapore. So thank you all for sticking with tradition, coming along tonight and revelling in our circus theme. We hope you’re blown away by our ring master and stilt walkers; our opening act and red carpet elephants and fully indulge in all that’s on oﬀer this evening. From our Luxury Lucky Door to a midnight auction, I also urge you to dig deep and support this year’s charities: Melrose Children’s Home and Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support. We pride ourselves on being globally focused, yet distinctly Australian and as we celebrate our 25th anniversary we’ve been reflecting on how our School has developed over the years. From our humble beginnings at our original campus in Mount Sophia with just 32 students and 7 teachers, we have continued to expand year on year - we now have a community of over 3000 wonderful students and staﬀ from over 50 diﬀerent nationalities. It is once again our pleasure to be sponsoring this fantastic event which brings our community together for an evening of fun and celebrations. Melrose Children’s Home

Babes

Melrose Home Children’s Aid Society provides a supportive, family environment for children from 4-18 years of age, who require care and protection in a residential setting. These are children whose parents or family members are unable to provide care or look after them.

Babes Pregnancy Crisis Support is a support group for pregnant teenagers in Singapore who, for various reasons, do not have the support of their family. They provide information and support without judgement to a vulnerable group.
