Vesak Day
Informally known as “Buddha’s Birthday”, Vesak Day is observed by Buddhists and encompasses the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha. Visit three different Buddhist temples including Shuang Lin Monastery (pictured), adorned with intricate architectural designs; the See Kong Meng San PhorKark Monastery, the largest monastery in South East Asia; and the Burmese Buddhist Temple, a small but colourful temple which provides a free TCM consulting service, acupuncture and medicine for the needy.
