WHAT ROLE DOES ARCHITECTURE PLAY IN ACTIVATING THE UNDERMINED SOCIAL NETWORKS OF A REGION THEREBY STIMULATING & FOSTERING POSITIVE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT & MAINTAINING COGNITIVE CAPACITIES?

APPROACH : Identifying Social Trajectories

with Whom?

What does it do?

Where does social stand?

How Does it occur?

Understanding the basics of how socialism in day to day life occurs and how it forms a crucial part in our lives affecting physical and emotional actions.

systems

These villages are facing adverse transformations on the inside and the outside, forcing them to adapt newer generative ways be it space, streets or occupation.

Space as a stimuli for socio-cognition The quality of experiences that a space provides, decides how we perceive information. Most importantly spatial configurations are the base grounds for interactions allowing cross discussions and exchange of thoughts, ideas thus forming the basis for mental stimulation and cognitive activation.

SOCIAL ANALOGY : Compositional study of past and present in the community

Family structure – past v/s present

Household structure – past v/s present

Street structure – past v/s present

OVERLAPS : Correlation between social & cognitive occurrences Regenerating/reviving the existing undermined social patterns

There is a stark overlap in activities of socialization for different user groups at one major spot on the site which is the existing fish market & ice factory area

Activating the site where the users feel more mentally stimulated

Mostly mental and physical stimulation for a varied cluster of the community occurs on the fish market & ice factory province as the site is more engaging in terms of occupation and intra user encounters.
