Lisbon (Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa) between the 9th and the 11th of October. The Associação Portuguesa de Primatologia (APP) is responsible for organizing and hosting the congress in straight co-operation with the Asociación Primatológica Española (APE). This joint effort will combine the 7th APP Conference with the 12th Congress of APE. This joint congress aims to build a strong scientific bridge between the Portuguese and the Spanish primatologists by establishing network contacts and hopefully engaging researchers, from both countries, in co-operative research activities.

The congress theme this is Empathy, Education and Conservation: Primates in a shared world. The venue will take place in Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa (SGL), in downtown Lisbon. SGL is a research institution that has more than a century of existence and holds important collections of documents and objects from all over the world. The SGL library is an import archive and the SGL Museum is one of the most rich of its kind. The congress will be held within the activities of Secção de Antropologia.
