In the last 25 years, I have planned and officiated hundreds of weddings. I am lucky to get to share in a bride and groom’s most special day. I get to witness the wonderment that surrounds a wedding day. There is an electric energy that can be felt as the bride puts on her dress and veil with her bridesmaids and the groom walks around in a bundle of nerves and excitement. The venue gets transformed with flowers, cake, candles and food displays as music fills the room with anticipation. The bride and groom recite vows, exchange rings, kiss, dance the Wobble or Cupid Shuffle, cut cake, and ride off into the sunset. And although the wedding is over, I still keep up with my brides as they go on their honeymoon, grow their families and build a life with their partner. It’s truly a pleasure to be part of all of the magic that comes with being part of someone’s best moments. I recently had the pleasure of managing my best friend, Jill’s wedding this past October. We have been friends since childhood and it was an honor to be there and watch her marry her soulmate, James on a beach in Nag’s Head at Jennette’s Pier. I am excited for all of the weddings still to come. There will be more cake, more special moments and more dancing. This special bridal issue of Her features the wedding journey of newlyweds, Hannah and Curtis Everett who were married this past October. This issue also features helpful information to help brides and grooms plan the perfect wedding. Cheers to all the brides and grooms to-be in 2023.

Hugs,

Christina Ruotolo
