HEALTHY EATING HABITS FOR BRIDES TO-BE
BY ELIZABETH MILTON
After living in North Carolina for almost ten years, I have seen that there is such a wide variety of places to explore and better yet-- host a wedding. Whether it be on a hiking trail with waterfalls, in the scenic mountains, along the shore of a family lake house, or on the crystal coast beaches, there are so many beautiful locations North Carolina has to ofer for your big day.
However, location isn’t the only thing brides to-be have on their plate! After deciding on the perfect venue, there are many more details to consider, some of which may be stressful. For example, some may think “I need to eat healthy and workout regularly to make sure my dress fts on the big day”. With all of the celebrations happening throughout the planning process, some may fnd this to be a bit of a challenge.
As a Registered Dietitian, I try to plan healthy meals and snacks but also make sure they are tasty and easy to prepare, especially during busy seasons of life. One of my favorite go-to meals is a Turkey Ranch Club Wrap. Wraps are a quick and yummy lunch idea and can easily be paired with fresh fruit or vegetables for a busy bride-to-be. Eating this quick and easy meal is a great way to refuel your body with vitamins and minerals to keep you energized!
Wherever you are, take time to enjoy the moment. Get some fresh air, enjoy nature’s beauty and take care of you! Remember to make this season of life memorable, let the planning take place but also remember your health is most important!
