GREENVILLE BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Meet Tim Barrett, 59, Owner of Southern Comforts Fine Furniture Consignments located at 652 E. Arlington Boulevard in Arlington Village Shoppes in Greenville, NC How did your company begin? - Southern Comforts come out of my love for fine furniture, art, and accessories. Having traveled extensively throughout the world, I was able to appreciate the diverse beauty of different styles whether they be regional or universal. When I moved to Greenville, NC I felt there was a need to bring fine furniture and art back to the Greenville market. We also offer high-end consignments throughout North Carolina and offer expert design service to all our customers. I am a retired Insurance Executive, Owner/Designer of Southern Comforts, owned another antique/furniture store in Greenville, South Carolina for several years, and has extensive experience in staging and decorating. I am considered an Art and Antique Expert. Hobbies - reading, antique restoration, avid gardener, and anything outdoors with my two sons. Style - Sheraton, Hollywood Regency, Mid Century, French Country and Traditional Fashion Icon - Phyllis Morris (California Designer) Favorite Home Décor Item, And Why – Collection of religious paintings, any/all collections from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. These bring me peace in an otherwise chaotic world. Favorite Paint Color – Yellow, it lifts spirits while providing warmth and comfort.
