LASTING LOVE SPOTLIGHT

MARRIED 11 YEARS

How did you meet? We met on Match.com. KIKI: I told him on our frst date I was going to marry him, and he said it scared him to death how direct I was. He proposed to me at the Daily Grind, which was where we had our frst date. When did you get married? We got married on January 22, 2011, in a little white wedding chapel in Vegas. What was your favorite moment of your wedding? KIKI: It was really special having my sister, Christie Hill, and her husband, Doug, fy to Vegas with us to be our witnesses. TOMMIE: My frst trip to Vegas and it hit me that I was marrying my soulmate and starting an exciting adventure. KIKI AND TOMMIE: We didn't gamble at all while we were there. We both knew we had already hit the jackpot fnding each other. We both loved seeing The Beatles Cirque Du Soleil after the ceremony and agreed it was the best show ever. Whenever we hear a Beatles song now it reminds us of our wedding day. Tell us about your family now? Between us we have three grown sons who have families of their own and three granddaughters. We recently lost our German shepherd (Kobe), so it's just the two of us. What is the best part about being married? of divorce as being an option.

KIKI: Insurance! (Haha I bugged him to death while we were dating to put me in his plan). Seriously- I love having someone who loves to cook and spoils me when he's home. TOMMIE: Kiki has a big heart and is very loving. I love having a partner who loves beach life as much as I do.

What is the secret to a lasting and successful marriage? KIKI: Having a relationship with God and never allowing the thought TOMMIE: Commitment.

If you could give newly married couples a few words of advice, what would that be? KIKI: Always remember - this is your best friend and focus on their positive traits not the negative. TOMMIE: Be kind always. It is better to not say anything at all than to speak in anger.
