Choosing the colour and surface finish for your windows and doors is a crucial part of the design process for your home. It is important that you choose the right product for the right application to ensure the life of your surface finish, and in some cases that your windows and doors are covered under their warranty.

Which product option is right for you?

Duralloy® +PLUS is designed for:

ƒ Residential buildings and light commercial, less than 4 levels with non-thermally improved joinery

ƒ Properties greater than 10 metres from high tide level.

Offers a 15 year film and colour integrity warranty.

Protexture™ is designed for:

ƒ Residential buildings and light commercial, less than 4 levels

ƒ Areas where high mar and scuff resistance is required

ƒ Properties greater than 10 metres from high tide level

Offers a 15 year film and colour integrity warranty. Protexture™ is not offered with ThermalHEART® suites.

Our range of 40 popular colours is a good place to start. All 40 colours are supplied in Duralloy® +PLUS, the most economical powdercoat finish. More colour options are also available but carry a price premium.

If you want a colour that is not in the popular range, consult with your manufacturer. Please note that these colours will carry a price premium.

Consult with your local First Windows & Doors manufacturer for further advice and to request a colour swatch.

ƒ Consider the environmental and site conditions of your property and ensure that the powdercoat product you choose is fit for purpose

ƒ When you make your final colour selection, use an aluminium colour swatch and assess it in natural light

ƒ When judging colour consistency and integrity of the finished product, the accepted industry standard is inspection from a distance of two metres.
