Francisco Pizarro was born in 1475 in Trujillo, Cáceres, Spain. His father was a soldier and He was raised by his mother’s relatives. He never got a good education and He left home to go to America in 1503 and meet his father and brother who were in the New World. He left la Hispaniola to explore de Caribbean cost. He new Balboa, who was a Spanish explorer and his chief lieutenant, and they walked across the Isthmus of Panama together in 1513. He was a Spanish conquistador. He travelled of the Pacific coast of America. He discovered the Inca empire and conquered it quickly and stealing its treasures. He destroyed the Incan capital of Cusco and founded Lima. Pizarro was assassinated in Lima, Peru, in 1541, by followers of Pedro de Almagro (Cortes’ captain) who wanted to seize Lima for its riches.
