This year marks several significant anniversaries. One hundred years ago, in 1925, Paris hosted the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, a World Fair that introduced the world to a new, modern aesthetic Interestingly, it wasn’t until the 1960s that this
demolition. To protect it, a group of enthusiasts formed the Art Deco Group in 1985, which became the Art Deco Trust in 1987 Forty years later, we acknowledge those visionary locals who understood the importance of preserving and promoting Napier’s Art Deco treasures.
