OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a stationery set, which includes a Logo, a business card, an envelope, and a letterhead. This stationery design allows you to choose any theme and layout that represent yourself.

SOLUTION After mind mapping of this project, I find 3 words to describe myself, which are “Passion”, “ Colorful“, and “Unique“. I decide to use these 3 expressions to create a logo as well as the stationery set. “APO” is the main visual point for the logo, in which you can see the letter “LI” stands out.

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a card set for a typeface and at least 10 individual typographic cards. It requires you to name your card set and package it. Your goal is to promote the typeface in a modern interesting way. Target audiences will be typographers, designers, and students.

SOLUTION Among all the typeface options/ selections, I decide to choose san serif type, which is Univers. Univers type family has a unique (type) shape that is slightly different from Helvetica and Folio typeface. Since Univers was widely used in Swiss Airline in 19 century, I decide to design a flight ticket as a card set.

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a large format size for a 24” X 36” HIV/AIDS poster “. It allows you to choose any theme that relates to HIV/AIDS.

SOLUTION HIV/AIDS has always been a crucial issue in this society, especially in the use of medical treatment. For this reason, I came up with the slogan “ (To) Protect yourself or Medicate yourself” as a main visual of this poster. This HIV/AIDS poster is designed to educate people about the importance of protecting yourself in order to reduce the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS infection (disease).

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a CD design that includes a cover, back CD, and booklet. This CD design allows you to choose any kind of music and topic. In addition, it requires you to take all photos by yourself.

SOLUTION 21 guns is a single (song) that addresses patriotism. The song conveys the message that when a man does something that is worthy and honorable, he deservers others’ respect. The idea of this CD design is trying to incorporate photography into the song, in which it tells the story of “21 guns”.

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a paper promotion of a typographic book and a card set. It allows you to choose any kind of paper and concept that is related to your paper. To keep in mind, it is an experimental typographic book, and it should be at least used 2 typeface.

SOLUTION Under 30,000 feet is a concept of this paper promotion book, which is consisted of Glo-Tone paper by French Paper Co. The main idea of this book is to introduce deepsea creatures. The reason of doing this topic is that most of deep-sea creatures are glowing naturally under the sea, which is echoing back to the Glo-tone paper. There are 9 colors and 2 typeface used in this book.

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a book that reflects any nature phenomena theme. It requires you to create letters, environmental design, and photography... etc.

SOLUTION After doing the research of natural phenomena, I am really into (interested in) the gravity theme (topic). It is interesting to find that gravity exists in a way that connects individuals and the world. The most unique part of this book is the cover design. By using actual test tube to filling oil and water, audiences not only can see gravity exists, but also interact with it. Gravity book is basically a fun Book of Known Knowledge.

SOLUTION Pantone cafĂŠ is the most colorful cafe in the world. The logo of Pantone cafe is made by soft gradation color and brochures design that includes cafe menu as well as basic information of this cafe. You will be able to enjoy and have a different experience in this Pantone cafe.

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to recreate a chocolate package design. It can be any kind of concept and theme. Also it requires a gift set, a display box, and a chocolate bar.

SOLUTION By looking at chocolate package design from the mass market, I believe Cachet has the most pretension to redesign its package. Cachet is a Belgium company, which carries many different kinds of tasty flavor choice. For this reason, my design is mainly targeting at women with romantic concept. The personage of cocoa is basically made by connecting starts with dark background. This chocolate package design set includes gift set, display box and chocolate bar with three flavors ( hazelnuts, orange and mint ).

OBJECTIVE You will be responsible to create a skincare product line for a brand, that has never produced any skincare produces yet. It can be any brand ; and it requires 7 bottles and display stands.

SOLUTION Children love playing toys while (they are) taking bath. What if the bottle itself is a toy? I came up with this idea when I was taking a bath. Thus, I decide to choose Lego Company for this project. Kidream is a Kids skincare product line, produced by Lego Company. It has six bottles with one bubble bath and a display box, which are all made by Lego bricks. Kids can play around bottles in many different ways. This kids skincare set is a functional concept product, which people may consider to reuse.
