SALT RIVER GARDENERS TO MEET JAN. 6

The Salt River Master Gardeners will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, at the Sesquicentennial Building in Palmyra. Our guest speaker will be Eldon Taylor who will demonstrate composting. Recently the Hannibal Farmers’ Market generously donated $200.00 to the Master Gardeners. We have a 501 (c) (3) status, and any monies donated or earned from the spring plant sale will be donated back to area projects. The Master Gardeners are a group of certified gardeners from five area counties. 2015 PINK OUT GAME SET FOR JANUARY 20

The 2015 Pink Out Game is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Madison C-3 School. The T-shirt contest winners will receive a pizza party. Madison High School will host the high school varsity basketball game this year at 6 p.m.

Chuck Brazeale to head Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation has announced a change in the leadership of the regional group’s Board of Directors. The change continues the innovation by the group charged with developing business opportunities in Monroe, Howard and Randolph Counties in central and northeast Missouri. For the first time in the organizations decades long history a businessman from outside of Moberly has been selected to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the regional economic development agency.
