Verna Spangler is the new Relay For Life of Monroe County leader and coordinator. Spangler has set the third Monday of each month the designated Relay For Life meeting date. The first meeting will take place on Monday, Jan. 19, at 5:30 p.m., at Kendrick’s Insurance Building. “If you would like to have a team or join a team call 573-470-7154,” said Spangler.

Holliday Horizons 4-H club is having a Winter Soup Luncheon on January 25, 2015 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Holliday School. Soup, sandwich, dessert and a drink. Free will donation will be accepted.
CITY OF PARIS OFFERING FREE GAS CONNECTIONS
Effective until March 31 the City of Paris will be offering free connections for potential natural gas customers inside the City Limits and the connection would be completed before October 15, 2015. Customers would have to agree to switch their main heating source to natural gas for three years and the customer would have to pay any costs to switch appliances and/or piping inside their home or building.
