Munoz arraigned in 10th Circuit Court On Thursday, February 5 (Law Day in Monroe County), Jessica Munoz, 28, Moberly, with her attorney Raymond Legg, appeared before 10th Circuit Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd for arraignment. Munoz is charged with seconddegree murder (A Felony), and two other felony charges - armed criminal action and hindering prosecution of a felony. All charges stated here for both defendants

rose out of the February 19, 2014, shooting death of Zachary Dawson, in Madison. At her appearance, her attorney waived official reading of the charges and entered not guilty pleas to all charges. Legg made a motion for both a change of judge and a change of venue (place of court appearances and/or trial).

Judge Shepherd noted that the request would be sent to OSCA (Office of State Courts Administrator), in Jefferson City. According to Monroe County Prosecutor Talley Kendrick, OSCA will select a judge and that will also help select the new venue. Her $1,000,000 cash only bond was continued and Munoz remains in custody.
