The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive, at the Paris First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 1-6 p.m. Donating blood is a good way to help others and only takes about an hour.

The Annual Taste of Monroe County will be held on Tuesday, March 10, from 5-7 p.m., at the Paris Senior Citizen’s Center. This annual event is sponsored by the Senior Center as part of their annual

Meals on Wheels campaign. Senior Center Director Tara Sheffield is extremely aggressive during this time period sandwiching in event after event to help benefit the Meals on Wheels program.

LENTEN BREAKFASTS BEGIN ASH WEDNESDAY

Lenten Prayer Breakfasts, given by the Paris Ministerial Alliance, began on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and will be held every Wednesday during Lent at 6:30 a.m., at the Paris Senior Citizen’s Center. Each Wednesday another member of the Ministerial Alliance gives the ‘message’ of the week.
