ANTIQUE SHOW ATTRACTS VISITORS TO LAKE AREA The streets of Paris will again be filled with visitors from at least four states on Saturday, March 23, as visitors flock to Paris to attend the 31st annual Mark Twain Lake Antique Show and Sale. The members of Xi Beta Xi Chapter are busy getting ready to host their annual antique show and sale. Last year the show attracted over 500 visitors from four states and close to 100 different communities. The show has grown over the years from the first show with 20 dealers to this year’s show featuring 36 booths with 40 different dealers representing all areas of Missouri as well as Illinois and Iowa. The entire gymnasium and the central hallway will be packed with antiques. This year’s show features several new quality dealers that have never exhibited at the show before. Show goers will be very pleased at the quality of items the dealers will be bringing. Some of the items for sale will include fine china and glassware, selections of antique furniture, lamps, quilts, baskets, pottery, primitives, antique

toys, vintage prints, jewelry, antique linens, antique advertising items, silver, sports collectibles, native American artifacts, and an assortment of country items, many dating back to the 1800s. One dealer from Iowa informed the group that he would be bringing a very rare car dealership advertising sign. The show allows early bird shoppers to enter the show at 9 a.m., for a fee of $ 5.00; with general admission beginning at 10 a.m., for an entrance fee of $ 3.00.
