Due to good weather media coverage we were able to be prepared for these recent storms.” Delaney noted that residents also have to be on alert for chemicals spills, nuclear disasters, etc., and they can be ready for these other disasters. Delaney described the “Ready in Three” program.

GLORIA ROUSE RETIRING AFTER 23 YEARS WITH UMB After almost 23 years of being employed by UMB. Gloria Rouse is planning to retire. Gloria enjoyed living in Monroe County her entire life. She graduated from Mark Twain High School and then completed a special secretarial course at Truman State University. Gloria started her banking career at Perry State Bank working as a teller and proof operator. After several years of working there she took time off to be with her husband Robert and their daughter Pamela. On May 29, 1990, she was hired by UMB as a part-time proof operator. That position turned into a fulltime job and Gloria has enjoyed helping UMB customers as a drive-up teller and as a Personal Banking Representative. The banking business has seen many changes through the years, for example the convenience of “Banking-On-The Go”, but something that has not changed is still providing great customer service and showing customers they can “CountOn- More” from UMB. Gloria’s retirement comes at the same time UMB is celebrating their 100-year anniversary, and she is proud to have been a part of that milestone. She cannot say enough about the GREAT dedicated team that she works with at UMB. Not only have they been teammates, but they also have become close friends.

family and friends. Her plans include taking care of their family home, entertaining at their camp, gardening, crafting, and keeping up with NASCAR.
