Meet the Sub-Branch Executive
We are the Cranbourne Secondary College Sub-Branch and our shared purpose is to establish and maintain a safe and supportive work environment; we will achieve this by ensuring agreed policies are developed and followed in consultation with our members We discuss workplace issues, with the purpose of applying integrity to improving the conditions of work for everyone
The Executive would like to thank John Peterson for his service as President of the Sub-Branch and welcome to Cameron Kittle to the position of Sub-Branch President. John will be taking over the position of Treasurer.
The Sub-Branch Executive
Our mission is to work together to improve the working condition of staff and support all AEU members
The Sub-Branch: Calls Union Meetings and runs events; Represent interests of members and the AEU; Works to resolve workplace issues; Ensures policies and agreements are developed and implemented; Liaises with Consultative Committee; Drives the collective SubBranch in AEU campaigns; Is the first point of call for new members; Distributes information from AEU to Union members.
The Cranbourne Sub-Branch Executive wishes to formally acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Bunurong people of the Kulin nation, and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging

We will achieve this by: having a collective RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that our workplace is safe fostering RESPECT through diversity and relationships being CREATIVE to problem solve and seek solutions LEARNING together to build knowledge and seek purpose

VGSA Approved
The Victorian Government Schools Agreement (VGSA) has been formally approved by the Fair Work Commission, and took effect as of Monday 25 July 2022
DET is making arrangements for salary increases to occur on the pay date of 25 August Staff will also receive back pay, dating back from 2 January 2022 or the commencement of the current period of employment/promotion (whichever is the later), on the same pay date

ES Laptops
As a result of the Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2022 being approved by Fair Work, ES staff registered on eduPay by Thursday 28 July 2022 that work a minimum of 0 4 full-time equivalent will now be eligible to receive laptops to support their work
ES staff in administrative roles (such as business managers and office staff) will receive a pre-configured laptop to replace their existing desktops, and will also receive a 'desktop experience kit' later in the year containing a monitor, laptop dock, keyboard, and mouse
Every School, Every Child
Every school should be provided the resources it needs to ensure every child gets the best education, regardless of their background or circumstances
The Every School, Every Child campaign calls on all federal politicians to make a series of commitments, including: Funding public schools to a minimum of 100% of the Schooling Resource Standard (SRS)
Remove the legislated 20% cap on the Commonwealth share of the SRS for public schools.
Remove the 4% capital depreciation tax in school funding bilateral agreements between the Commonwealth and State/Territories.
Establish a capital fund for public schools to help meet rising enrolment growth and infrastructure needs
