Contemporary styles are not for everyone, and so with this in mind we provide a range of standard cast iron grates that help to reintroduce the charm and elegant design detail of yesteryear. The perfect addition to any classic landscaped area. Manufactured from recycled cast iron, our covers will age naturally and develop a golden bloom to a dark patina, giving these particular covers a natural rustic look suitable for any classic scheme. We can even alter or delay the ageing process using a number of special treatments (see page 15).

Jonite Stone
Our Jonite stone grates are ethical composite stone channel covers which help to provide a smart natural look. We have several Jonite designs available in a variety of sophisticated colours. These products are made with a minimum of 30% recycled materials and as such are green label certified. They also have a lower water absorption rate than natural stone, which means the covers maintain their colour when in contact with water.

FINISHES POST RUST TREATMENT Our cast iron comes raw, starting out grey in colour but upon contact with water begins to rust into a bright orange colour. This will eventually wash or wear away, leaving behind a rich, chocolate brown patina. We offer a pre-rusting service where we provide the covers ready rusted and then apply a special protective treatment post-rust that will maintain the colour in a darker and more attractive finish.

POWDER COATING Powder coating is a metal finishing process that allows the product to be textured in almost any RAL colour or shade you require. This long-lasting, highly durable and economical finish will be more resistant against scratches, chipping, wear, and fading. Available for Cast Iron & Stainless Steel
CORTEN SEALANT Similar to our Post Rust method, we can apply a similar application to a corten steel. Known for its rusty nature, we have a sealant which when applied to this rust, seals the surface and acheives an aged chocolate brown finish.

BAKED OIL The baked on oil finish is an application that uses recycled cooking oil as the coating material. It is an aesthetic treatment that creates an aged look. As the oil wears off it will provide a smooth, graceful transition from installation to final patina.

They are available in a multitude of sizes and designs, ranging from 4 inch round to 24 inch square. FRAMES We offer three types of frame for our gully covers. One is made of a PVC plastic, which fits two of our standard sizes, the rest are made in either stainless or galvanised mild steel. These offer stronger support for heavy traffic projects. Each frame will fit specific covers and sizes available.
Available in a range of different steels and finishes, we can offer square frames to hold our square gully covers. With sufficient bolt holes they can be fixed in place on various different surfaces.
Rated for pedestrian loading only, our plastic frames are the perfect option for gardens or patios to hold our square gully covers. Each plastic frame has a 110mm locking outlet which allows easy fixing to standard drainage pipes.
We also offer circular frames for our circular gully covers. Also available in a range of different steels these are well capable of heavy duty applications. Also containing bolt holes to fix down on various different surfaces.

OTHER PRODUCTS CURVED GRATES The sweeping lines of our curved grates will provide your project with a softer look where required. Here we can see an example of a curved channel grate in our highly popular ‘Interlaken’ design, which
surrounds and finishes a central water feature. These can be provided with frames, and bolt down fixings for added security.
TREE GRATES These decorative tree grates exude sophistication and will add an individual rustic charm to your landscape project. The grates are available in a wide variety of designs and sizes, provide the space for trees to grow, and allow for extra pedestrian traffic. Supporting metal framework can also be provided.
