DESIGN PORTFOLIO JOB APPLICATION FOR AN ARCHITECT LALITA EMAIL ID: AR.LALITA29@GMAIL.COM

I wanted to stand along with architects, but for that a Diploma was not sufficient, which is when I started thinking about pursuing a degree in architecture and finally, in 2016, I cleared my entrance exam, NATA, which is a national level exam to fulfill the eligibility criteria to take admission in Bachelor of Architecture programs in India.

I completed my Interior Design Diploma in 2015 after my 10th in 2012. Thereafter, I joined an interior design firm where I worked for banking sector interiors. In my one year of work experience (2015-2016) as an Interior Designer, I got some opportunities to work with architects. I found architects have a vast knowledge of buildings & services, and they are given more value as compared to an Interior Designer in Built Environment.

WELCOME

LALITA, a registered architect in India currently working at an architectural firm in the capital of India-Delhi, under the guidance of senior architects and designers. Withholding 5 Years full-time Degree in Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) and 3 Years full time Diploma in Interior Design from reputed universities, I'm trying to serve my skills in the Built Environment with knowledge of art & science of building design to develop the Concepts for structure and evaluating these Concepts into reality.

2

This is how my architecture journey started. I did my thesis project on Beach Resorts, Goa, in the 4th year. Then I joined an architectural apprenticeship which was the mandatory part of BArch’s academic curriculum in the final year/5th year. In my apprenticeship, I got opportunities to work for 5-star hill resort named ITC Welcome SPA & Resort, which is located near Jim Corbett National Park, Uttrakhand, India, and this project comes under the development of the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR). In 2021, I completed my BArch degree. I continued in the same firm as a Junior Architect, where I was appointed for an apprenticeship. I was learning so much with live projects that I didn't opt for another firm after graduation, and I am currently working here. This time I got the opportunity to work for a housing project named Raksha Paradise which consists of 53 individual villas and group housing.

The members of GOA COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (GCZMA) acknowledged that on account of rapid developments in the “Tourism Industry”, environmentally sound and sustainable management of the coastal zone is critical It was also felt that due to the contemplated proposals for a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), new international airport, major IT/Biotech Parks, etc., the Coastal Zone Management Plan for Goa may need adjustments to reduce pressures on already congested coastal stretches and allow a more evenly spread out pattern of tourism facilities in all over Goa.

Architect who have inspire me most is ZAHA HADID, as she has proven herself, a wonderful role model for women in the male dominated field of architecture and she became the very first woman to win the Pritzker award in 2004. I really want to serve my skills in development of countries on a big scale through architecture as like she did or might be something different from her.

MY INSPIRATION & VISION

• Learn something which I don’t know and not aware of it.

Architectural practices will enhance my architectural knowledge and Project Complexity based on live projects and its diverse range of projects will add unique skills to my Design Portfolio. I understand after completion of advance practices, graduates will be given more responsibility on projects, and those responsibilities will eventually give me more knowledge and experience in the field. Working in an Architectural firm, will give me opportunities to carry out specialist studies and research, which will help me to tackle upcoming responsibilities in my future endower. So, here I am looking forward to learn and enhance my skills with vast knowledge of architecture.

MY HOBBIES

I have not any specific kind of hobbies which I like to do in my free times on daily or weekly basis. But yes, there are few things which I like to do:-

QUTUBDELHIMINAR,

• Even I like to volunteering by giving tuition classes for children who don’t afford to pay or with minimum fee.

• Sometimes I love to do photography of architectural monuments and buildings.

• Love to know about other countries, like their cultures and discipline.
