SQUARE ONE
Square One has been developed after our research found there is a gap in the market for people who are looking for longer than short-term accommodation but cannot afford the stabilit y of home ownership and therefore forced to stay in the rental market. The demographics of the residents is anyone from students who want to live in a share house, to multigenerational families, single-parent families and retirees. The architecture has been designed so that there are both private, communal and commercial spaces throughout each of the buildings as well as across the entire precinct. Each of the private dwellings cater for each of the demographics yet they can still be easily adaptable and flexible. The communal and public spaces will allow for the residents to gather a n d c o m e t o g e t h e r.
