In 1981, the Arabian Horse Owners Foundation inducted Walter “Chappy” Chapman into their “Hall of Fame.” As the Donoghue Arabian Farm ad stated, “You’ve been in our Hall of Fame for 30 Years.”

Indeed, Chappy influenced a generation (or more) of trainers with his gift for showcasing the Arabian as a family horse and show horse combined — a talent beautifully illustrated in the partnership between Chappy and the stallion Ibn Hanrah.
