NICK ALM “PORTALS AND PLACES”
OCTOBER 24 – NOVEMBER 12, 2024
Arcadia Contemporary is proud to present “Portals and Places,” a solo exhibition by Swedish artist Nick Alm. The exhibition will open with a reception on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 6-8 PM, featuring a collection of 20 original paintings in watercolor and oil.
Nick Alm’s distinctive approach blends classical technique with modern sensibility, creating emotionally charged works that explore the nuances of human interaction and introspection. Through his mastery of light and shadow, Alm captures moments that are both intimate and contemplative, meditating on the complexity of form and composition.
In this exhibition, Alm continues his exploration of human experience, using his paintings as portals to transcend the physical world. He explains, “The complexity of human experience and the inherent beauty of form and composition inspire me. I want my paintings to act as gateways— portals to places that exist beyond the physical world.”
“Portals and Places” is Alm’s third solo exhibition with Arcadia Contemporary and builds on the themes explored in previous shows. Born in 1985, Alm has received numerous international awards, including the prestigious William Bouguereau Award in 2014. His work has been exhibited across Europe, America, and Asia.
The exhibition will be on view from October 24 to November 12, 2024. The opening reception on October 24, 2024, from 6-8 PM, is open to the public
