A lethal virus breaks out. Humans, the species that has unforgivingly endangered the planet over the years are forced to take refuge underground. The earth begins to heal. At present, we are 100 years into the future. Humans have established colonies underground. They have not experienced the earth in all its glory. The warmth of the sun, the magnificent mountains, and the menacing tides; To them, these are merely ancestral folklore. The exposure to the virus has reduced the average lifespan drastically. The life underneath hence is slow-paced and of leisure. It is when they die that they ascend to the intangible realm – a world of post-humans where one finally finds a purpose – To work for the survival of their species under the surface, from up above.
