INSPIRATION: The Mill creek “People forgot the buried river, but its force endures.”
A homage to the poignant history of Mill Creek. The spaces flow; There are instances where they harmoniously accommodate each other, and times when they gently coalesce to form spatial pools of interesting encounters. The level changes, the juxtaposing of natural materials against a river of concrete floor, the transparencies between spaces all of which weave together to revive the story of the buried creek. By exploring the flow and rhythm of water, its erosive/ artistic effects on different materials, the design attempts to emulate the essence of the iconic creek spatially and sensorially.
